Our award-winning team is growing, and Barnett Dembek Architects is hiring a Registered Architect to be based out of our Surrey office.

Barnett Dembek Architects is part of Group 161, which includes companies like Atelier Pacific Architecture and DF Architecture. We are a young, design-oriented firm specializing in residential, mixed-use, commercial, and civic buildings. Our current projects include large-scale wood-frame multi-family and residential high-rise developments.

We are seeking a Registered Architect with:

1. Registration with the AIBC.
2. A minimum of 5 years of post-graduate professional experience in architecture, preferably in Canada.
3. Proven project management skills, including leading teams and overseeing complex multi-family and residential projects from design through completion.
4. Experience securing approvals from local authorities, such as rezoning and development permits.
5. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp; additional design software knowledge is a plus.
6. A solid understanding of local building codes (Part 3 / Part 9), construction methods, and industry best practices.

Responsibilities include:

1. Leading and managing the design, development, and delivery of complex multi-family and residential projects from concept to completion.
2. Preparing, reviewing, and coordinating architectural drawings, specifications, and contract documents in compliance with local codes and regulations.
3. Collaborating closely with clients, consultants, and contractors to meet design objectives and project goals.
4. Ensuring projects meet budget, schedule, and quality standards while maintaining high design excellence.
