Job summary

Zedcor Inc. in Calgary, AB, is seeking an AR Collections Coordinator to join the accounting team. You will follow up on past-due accounts, maintain customer records, and work closely with the Accounts Receivable Supervisor to ensure accurate cash flow.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, a positive attitude, and the ability to handle disputes with internal teams. 1–2 years in operational accounting or AR/AP is preferred, with an associate/bachelor's in accounting.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ experience in operational accounting, accounts receivable and/or accounts payable
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree or High School diploma/certificate in accounting preferred
• Must be engaged, hardworking with a positive attitude; willing to assist with tasks outside of normal day-to-day tasks
• Willing to work in an entrepreneurial environment with evolving structure
• Self-starter, driven and motivated to work independently with minimal oversight
• Strong numbers aptitude, able to analyze large data sets and present concise insights for senior management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and solve problems
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and modern accounting software
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and paperless accounting

Responsibilities

• Follow up with customers on past due accounts and monitor overdue payments
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records (billing, contact info, payment terms)
• Reconcile customer accounts to verify accuracy of financial records
• Investigate and resolve disputes regarding invoices or payments with other departments
• Perform general office duties as required
