Job summary

Calgary Co-op is seeking an Accounts Receivable Credit Clerk in Calgary to perform clerical accounting duties, balance cash receipts, and manage AR accounts. The role involves communication with internal and external contacts and reporting to AR Credit Supervisor and Accounting Manager.

The ideal candidate will have high school graduation, six months accounting experience, and proficiency in Excel and Word. Experience with Oracle is desirable. Training and support are provided.

Qualifications

• High School graduation or GED.
• Six months accounting experience.
• Proficient Excel and basic Word.
• Equivalent education/experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Daily verification of cash & receipts balancing and related audit.
• Keying AR envelopes, coding invoices, and balancing cards.
• Prepare AR adjustments and journal entries.
• Reconcile AR accounts and general ledger balances.
• Communicate with members on outstanding accounts and collect as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow safety policies.

Education

High School Graduation or GED

Introductory Accounting - CGA Fundamental or equivalent

Intermediate Accounting 1 - CGA Financial Accounting: Assets or equivalent
