Job summary

SMARTFOX in Canada is seeking an AR Analyst to manage the order-to-cash cycle, invoicing, and collections with a focus on accuracy and timely cash flow. You will work with ERP systems such as NetSuite or SAP, handle multi-currency billing (CAD/USD), monitor aging, resolve disputes, and support month-end close.

Strong Excel skills and attention to detail are essential. This role offers collaboration with finance, sales, and operations, with opportunities to grow into senior AR responsibilities

Qualifications

• Understanding of accounting basics: debits and credits, invoicing, and the order-to-cash cycle.
• Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers.
• Clear, professional communication, including firm but friendly follow-up with customers.
• Working knowledge of Excel (XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; value on accuracy and follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Manage the order-to-cash cycle including invoicing, cash application, collections, and reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate invoices with GST/HST, PST, and QST where applicable and resolve billing errors.
• Apply customer payments and clear unapplied cash and short-pays.
• Handle multi-currency billing (CAD and USD) and FX gains/losses.
• Monitor aging reports, prioritize past-due accounts, and follow up by phone and email.
• Analyze DSO, aging trends, and collection effectiveness; support close and audits.
