Job summary

Wright Tree Service of Canada in Vancouver, BC is hiring an Apprentice Utility Arborist to support vegetation management for utility projects. This full-time role involves physical outdoor work, loading materials, and assisting with site setup and safety protocols.

You will learn tree identification, proper tool use, and teamwork while earning between $30 and $36 per hour plus benefits and travel allowances. Valid driver’s license and ability to work long hours are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license with clean driving record; air brakes a plus.
• Ability to work as part of a team in physically demanding environments.
• Willingness to learn and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks with logs, brush, and debris.
• Assist in site setup and takedown, including equipment handling and maintenance.
• Operate and maintain basic tools and PPE.
• Work safely and support a positive team environment.
• Occasional on-call rotations during emergencies.
