Toromont Cat in Vaughan, Ontario is seeking an Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technician. You will learn on the job with experienced technicians and progress toward a Licensed Technician opportunity while completing your post-secondary heavy equipment mechanics training.

This full-time role offers a competitive hourly wage, access to our internal training teams geared for your success, and a total rewards package including benefits and premiums.

Formación

• Minimum high school diploma.
• Enrolled in or completed a post-secondary Heavy Equipment Mechanics program.

Responsabilidades

• Participate in safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviors in line with Toromont Health & Safety policies.
• Repair Caterpillar and other brands of equipment for customers in a timely and economical manner.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic problems using Caterpillar testing equipment.
• Prepare service reports and service documentation accurately and promptly.
• Ensure customer needs are met in a knowledgeable, professional, and collaborative manner.

Our Registered Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technicians, when not in school, will continue to learn on the job with our experienced, trusted Technicians gradually progressing to achieve a Licensed Technician opportunity.

Pay Type

Full Time, Permanent

Compensation

$34.25 - $44.04

The wage indicated is only one component of our total rewards program, and additional compensation premiums may be awarded where applicable.

In a typical day, YOU will:

• Participate in safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviors at all times, in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives
• Repair Caterpillar and other brands of equipment for our customers in a timely and economical manner
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic problems using Caterpillar testing equipment
• Prepare service reports and service documentation in an accurate and timely manner
• Ensure our internal and external customer needs are met in an efficient, knowledgeable and professional manner in a positive, engaging environment of teamwork, career development and lifelong learning for opportunities across our business.

Must-haves for this role:

• Minimum high school diploma
• Currently enrolled, or completion of a Post-Secondary Heavy Equipment Mechanics program
