Job summary

Pattison Agriculture is seeking an Apprentice Service Technician to join our fast-paced, energetic dealership in Swift Current, SK. This entry-level role offers on-the-job training to diagnose, repair, maintain, and support agricultural equipment across multiple product lines, with clear paths for career growth.

The position focuses on Heavy Ag repair, PDI/Set-Up, and Turf/Lawn & Garden equipment. Shift is 1:00 pm – 10:00 pm, Monday–Friday, with a $5.00 per hour shift premium for qualifying

Qualifications

• Be mechanically minded and have experience performing service repairs/maintenance.
• Have a positive attitude and demonstrate a willingness to learn and succeed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair and service agricultural equipment with a commitment to customer support and pride in workmanship.
• Use specialized tools, cutting edge technology, and innovative solutions to diagnose and complete complex repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules/standards on equipment and related components.
• Gain knowledge of John Deere agriculture products.
• Use diagnostic tools and computer functions.
• Attend Apprenticeship training, John Deere University training and dealer-led training to further develop skills and technical capabilities.

This large shop has several areas of focus and is currently looking to add entry level Ag Mechanics (Apprentice level 1, 2, or 3 in Ag or related field) to work on their Heavy Ag repair, PDI/Set‑Up, or Turf/Lawn & Garden equipment. Afternoon shift 1:00 pm – 10:00 pm Monday‑Friday. ($5.00 per hour SHIFT PREMIUM for qualifying shifts).
