Job summary

Pattison Agriculture is seeking a skilled Agriculture Service Technician to join our energetic team in Wynyard, SK. You will diagnose, repair, maintain, and support equipment across multiple product lines, with a path to advanced diagnostic expertise within our organization.

You will work with John Deere products and other equipment, participate in ongoing training, and contribute to customer satisfaction through quality service and teamwork within our Parts/Service teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience with agricultural equipment or related mechanical repairs.
• Strong mechanical aptitude for engines, electrical, hydraulics and powertrain.
• Ability to use diagnostic software and electronic service tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect, repair, and maintain equipment with a focus on quality workmanship.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems using diagnostic tools.
• Perform preventative maintenance and service per manufacturer specs.
• Maintain clear service documentation.
• Keep knowledge of John Deere and other equipment up to date.
• Participate in training to develop skills.
• Collaborate with Service, Parts and other technicians to support customers.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect, repair, and maintain equipment with a strong commitment to customer support and quality workmanship
• Use diagnostic tools, software, and technology to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, and complete complex repairs
• Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled service according to manufacturer specifications
• Complete repairs accurately and efficiently while maintaining clear service documentation
• Maintain current knowledge of John Deere agriculture products and other equipment supported by the dealership
• Participate in manufacturer, dealer-led, and technical training programs to further develop skills and technical capabilities
• Work closely with Service, Parts, and other technicians to support customers and complete work effectively

Requirements

• 3+ years’ experience performing agricultural equipment, automotive, heavy equipment, powersports, construction, or related complex mechanical repairs
• Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and powertrain components
• Ability to use diagnostic software, electronic service tools, and basic computer functions
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and contribute within a team environment
• Commitment to professional development and ongoing technical training
• Experience with John Deere and competitive products is a definite asset
• Candidates ideally will possess a Journeyperson Agricultural Technician certification or equivalent in a mechanical field (i.e. Heavy Equipment, Automotive)
