Job summary

The 401 Group invites applicants for an Automotive Apprentice to learn hands-on from experienced technicians at our Peterborough shop. This role offers practical training toward 310S certification and growth in a fast-paced, Canadian-owned organization.

Location at 1370 Chemong Rd, Peterborough ON; compensation $20-$24 per hour with benefits and development opportunities, including coaching and mentoring from senior staff.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent is required.
• 1+ years auto service experience preferred.
• Working toward 310S certification.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid G driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs as directed.
• Complete tasks on repair orders accurately and efficiently.
• Consult shop foreman or service advisors for additional work.
• Use appropriate tools and test equipment; report issues to supervisor.
• Keep the shop area clean and organized.
• Take on other tasks as assigned by management.

As an Automotive Apprentice, you’ll be working side-by-side with experienced technicians, learning the skills and gaining the knowledge you need to become a fully licensed pro!

Location: 1370 Chemong Rd, Peterborough ON (Hyundai)

Compensation: $20-$24 per hour

What You Will Be Doing:

• Perform services based on general maintenance and minor repairs.
• Perform the tasks described in the repair orders efficiently and accurately.
• Contact the shop foreman and/or service advisors if additional work is required.
• Use appropriate tools, test equipment, and report defective or poorly functioning equipment to the supervisor.
• Ensure that the shop is clean and tidy.
• Perform other tasks, based on management requirements and instructions.

What You Bring to the Table:

• High school education or equivalent
• 1+ years of auto service technician experience
• Working towards your 310S certification
• Strong communication skills
• Above average technical skills
• Valid G Driver's License and acceptable driving record
