The Seaboard Transport Group in North York, Ontario seeks Apprentice Mechanics to join our team. You will perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on trucks and trailers, while adhering to safety guidelines. We offer growth opportunities, a supportive work culture, and hands-on training.

Qualifications

• Apprentice certification as a truck/trailer mechanic is required or in progress.
• Experience or familiarity with B620 inspection is a plus.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills are essential.
• Proficiency with computers and teamwork are important.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs following safety standards.
• Participate in safety and maintenance meetings.
• Engage in professional interactions with colleagues and customers.
• Complete electronic work orders and keep workspace organized.
• Diagnose issues and communicate required parts.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and annual inspections.

Your Role:

As part of our team, you’ll:

• Perform maintenance and repairs in adherence to safety standards and regulations.
• Participate in safety and maintenance meetings.
• Engage in professional and service-oriented interactions with colleagues.
• Complete electronic work orders and maintain a clean workspace.
• Diagnose issues and communicate required parts effectively.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and annual motor vehicle inspections.
• Stay up to date with work-related training and development opportunities.

What You Bring to the Table:

• Apprentice certification as a truck and/or trailer mechanic.
• Experience as a B620 inspector (an asset but not required).
• Strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills.
• Proficiency with computers.
• High level of professionalism and teamwork.
• Additional experience with tankers, trucks, dry vans, reefers, or welding is an asset.
