Job summary

Seaboard Transport Group in Sarnia, ON is seeking Apprentice Mechanics to join our family-owned team across shop and road maintenance. You will perform maintenance and repairs, complete electronic work orders, and participate in safety meetings to ensure high standards.

Qualifications

• Apprentice certification as a truck/trailer mechanic is required.
• Experience as a B620 inspector is an asset.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills.
• Proficiency with computers.
• Team player with a professional approach.
• Tankers/trucks/dry vans/reefers experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs in adherence to safety standards and regulations.
• Participate in safety and maintenance meetings.
• Engage in professional interactions with colleagues.
• Complete electronic work orders and maintain a clean workspace.
• Diagnose issues and communicate required parts effectively.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and annual inspections.
• Stay up to date with training and development opportunities.

Your Role:

What You Bring to the Table:

• Apprentice certification as a truck and/or trailer mechanic.
• Experience as a B620 inspector (an asset but not required).
• Strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills.
• Proficiency with computers.
• High level of professionalism and teamwork.
• Additional experience with tankers, trucks, dry vans, reefers, or welding is an asset.
