Job summary

The Seaboard Transport Group in North York, ON is seeking an experienced Weekend Lead Hand Mechanic to join our team. This role supports on-site maintenance for trucks, engines, and trailers, with a Friday–Sunday 6am to 6:30pm schedule.

A sign-on bonus of $1,000 is offered to join our family-owned business. Licensed mechanics with leadership experience and solid problem-solving skills will thrive in our safety-focused environment.

• Licensed Mechanic
• Exceptional mechanical knowledge
• Previous supervisory or Lead Hand role considered an asset
• Moderate computer skills
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Experience working with tankers considered an asset

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs adhering to safety standards and regulations.
• Work in accordance with safety procedures and company guidelines.
• Participate in safety and maintenance meetings.
• Complete electronic work orders and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and communicate required parts effectively.
• Engage in professional and service-oriented interactions with colleagues.
• Attend and participate in work-related training and development opportunities.
