Job summary

MSCP Heat Management Solutions is seeking Electrical Apprentices at any level to join our Ontario operations in Listowel. The role offers hands-on electrical experience across shop, project, and field settings while pursuing Journeyperson certification.

You will work alongside Journeyperson Electricians and project teams, gaining practical skills in electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and EHT systems.

Qualifications

• Must be registered or eligible to register as an Electrical Apprentice in Ontario.
• Open to all apprenticeship levels; junior apprentices encouraged to apply.
• Asset: experience with Electric Heat Tracing (EHT) or industrial electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, maintenance, testing and repair of industrial electrical systems.
• Support EHT system installation and maintenance.
• Assist with cable pulls, terminations, conduits, and electrical components.
• Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and work packages.
• Maintain a safe, organized workspace and complete documentation.

Location: Listowel, Ontario

Employment: Full-Time

The Position

MSCP is seeking motivated Electrical Apprentices at any level to join our growing Ontario operations.

This position is an opportunity for apprentices looking to build broad industrial electrical experience while progressing toward their Journeyperson certification. The role will support a combination of shop, project, and field activities, with work varying based on client and operational requirements.

You will work alongside experienced Journeyperson Electricians, project personnel, and other technical disciplines while gaining practical experience in electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and Electric Heat Tracing (EHT) systems.

Key Responsibilities

As an Electrical Apprentice, responsibilities will vary according to your apprenticeship level, demonstrated competency, and project requirements. Duties may include:

• Work under the direction and supervision of qualified Journeyperson Electricians and project supervision.
• Assist with the installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of industrial electrical systems and equipment.
• Support the installation and maintenance of Electric Heat Tracing (EHT) systems.
• Assist with cable pulls, cable preparation, terminations, junction boxes, conduit, cable tray, and electrical components.
• Support the installation and connection of controllers, panels, instrumentation, and associated electrical equipment.
• Assist with electrical testing, troubleshooting, inspections, and commissioning activities appropriate to your apprenticeship level.
• Learn to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, specifications, isometrics, and work packages.
• Prepare materials, tools, equipment, and electrical components for field and project work.
• Assist with fabrication, assembly, wiring, and component testing where required.
• Use hand tools, power tools, meters, and electrical testing equipment appropriate to your level of training and authorization.
• Maintain tools, equipment, materials, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.
• Complete required documentation, timesheets, work packages, and digital records accurately.
• Participate in toolbox meetings, hazard assessments, FLHAs, and other required safety activities.
• Follow applicable electrical codes, client requirements, MSCP procedures, and safe work practices.
• Travel to client and project sites as operational requirements dictate.
• Perform other electrical and project-support duties appropriate to your apprenticeship level.

Qualifications

• Registered Electrical Apprentice in Ontario, or eligible to register/continue an electrical apprenticeship in Ontario.
• All apprenticeship levels are encouraged to apply.
• Industrial, commercial, construction, maintenance, or Electric Heat Tracing experience is considered an asset but is not required for junior apprentices.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn and develop within the electrical trade.
• Ability to follow drawings, specifications, procedures, and instructions.
• Comfortable working in both shop and industrial field environments.
• Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, climbing, and working at heights where required.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
• Ability and willingness to travel to project and client sites as required.
• Previous industrial safety training and certifications are considered an asset.
