Job summary

MSCP Heat Management Solutions in Listowel, Ontario seeks an experienced electrical trades professional to read blueprints and install heat trace systems. The role involves shop-based work with occasional field projects, traveling as needed, and a strong focus on safety and quality assurance.

You will perform electrical installations, testing, and document using digital work packages, contributing to a range of industrial heat management projects across energy and manufacturing sectors.

Qualifications

• Electrical Journeyperson Certificate.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Suite and digital tasking.
• Experience with Procore, Thermon EHT systems, or IRATA rope access is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, isometrics, and electrical schematics.
• Install and remove heat trace systems to specification.
• Work safely around process lines, live systems, and hazardous areas Class I Zone 1 and 2.
• Perform electrical installations, terminations, wiring, and cable pulls.
• Conduct insulation resistance testing Megger and verify continuity and grounding.
• Support QA, testing, and commissioning of heat trace and electrical systems.
• Use digital work packages, drawings, and quality documentation.
• Participate actively in work groups and problem solving discussions.
• Follow strong safety practices including LOTO, FLHA, toolbox talks, and hazard assessments.
• Complete MSCP’s in house training program for Heat Trace and Heat Management Systems.
• Primarily shop based work with some opportunity for overnight travel for field projects.

Job description

MSCP is a leader in Heat Management solutions across the Energy sector. Founded in 2011 to support Oil and Gas, we have since expanded into a broad range of industrial environments including cement production, steel manufacturing, and other heavy industrial facilities that require precise and reliable Heat Management Systems.

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, isometrics, and electrical schematics
