Job summary

PTW Energy Services in Edson, Alberta is seeking a 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice Electrician to join our team on industrial construction projects. The role involves installing, maintaining, and testing electrical systems on industrial sites in and around Edson.

Candidates must be willing to travel within a 100 km radius of Edson, and Living Out Allowance is available for eligible candidates. The position requires reading blueprints, safety compliance, and a strong commitment to quality work.

Qualifications

• Valid indentured 3rd or 4th year electrical apprentice or Journeyperson Electrician
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial construction electrical work
• Valid H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Standard First Aid, CSO, AWP/EWP, ESTS and CSTS 2020
• Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and OH&S requirements
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
• Proficient with hand tools, testing devices, and electrical equipment
• Valid driver's license
• Flexible availability for shift work, overtime, and weekends, with a strong focus on safety and self-determination
• Ability to work in various environments, including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions

Responsibilities

• Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Ensure all work complies with electrical code, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Test electrical systems using appropriate tools and equipment.

• Complete documentation, work orders, and reports as required.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment.
