Job summary

PTW Energy Services seeks a Local Apprentice Electrician to join the Lloydminster team. This 1st-4th year apprentice will support Journeyman electricians on industrial electrical projects, focusing on safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

Candidates must read electrical drawings, follow the Canadian Electrical Code, and be available for shifts, overtime, and weekends. Valid driver’s license and HS/First Aid credentials are required.

Qualifications

• Indentured 1st-4th year Electrical Apprentice with provincial regulatory body.
• Able to read electrical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs.
• Familiar with Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).
• Strong safety focus and good communication skills.
• Flexible for shift work, overtime and weekends; valid driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Assist Journeyman Electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial electrical systems.
• Interpret drawings, schematics, and electrical codes.
• Install and service motors, PLCs, control circuits, conduit, wiring, and panels.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform preventive maintenance.
• Support three-phase systems and motor terminations.
• Follow Canadian Electrical Code, company procedures, and OHS safety standards.

Role Summary:

We are seeking a LocalApprentice Electrician to join our team in Lloydminster. The Apprentice is a 1st-4th year Electrical Apprentice with relevant industrial or commercial experience who is committed to delivering safe, high-quality work that meets client needs. This role requires strong attention to detail, a customer-service mindset, and a focus on safety, and exceeding client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Journeyman Electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial electrical systems
• Interpret drawings, schematics, and electrical codes
• Install and service motors, PLCs, control circuits, conduit, wiring, and panels
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform preventive maintenance
• Support three-phase systems and motor terminations
• Follow Canadian Electrical Code (CEC), company procedures, and OHS safety standards
• Other duties as required

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Indentured 1st-4th year Electrical Apprentice with provincial regulatory body
• Familiar with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC)
• Valid H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Standard First Aid (Level A or C with CPR/AED), and CSTS 2020
• Able to read electrical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs
• Strong safety focus and good communication skills
• Team player able to work with maintenance and production teams
• Flexible availability for shift work, overtime, and weekends, with a strong focus on safety and self-direction
• Valid driver's licence
• Ability to work in various environments, including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions.
