Job summary

PTW Energy Services is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to join our team on construction sites near Wandering River, Alberta. You will install electrical systems on industrial projects and interpret drawings and specifications.

You must have a valid Journeyperson Certificate (Red Seal preferred) and at least 2 years of industrial experience. Duties include safety-compliant installation, testing, and collaboration with other trades, with a 10-on/10-off shift and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyperson Electrician Certificate; Red Seal preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of industrial construction electrical experience.
• H2S Alive, Fall Protection, AWP/MEWP, First Aid (Level A or C with CPR/AED), ESTS, CSO, and Confined Space.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and OH&S requirements.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical documents.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness for shift work, overtime, and weekends.
• Ability to work in heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions.

We are seeking a Journeyman Electrician to join our team working on our various construction sites near Wandering River, Alberta. You will install electrical systems on industrial projects/sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install electrical systems, equipment, and components.
• Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Ensure all work complies with electrical code, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Test electrical systems using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with other trades and contractors on job sites.
• Complete documentation, work orders, and reports as required.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Valid Journeyperson Electrician Certificate (Red Seal certification preferred)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial construction electrical work
• Valid H2S Alive, Fall Protection, AWP/MEWP, Standard First Aid (Level A or C with CPR/AED), ESTS, CSO, and Confined Space.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and OH&S requirements
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
• Proficient with hand tools, testing devices, and electrical equipment
• Valid driver's licence
• Flexible availability for shift work, overtime, and weekends, with a strong focus on safety and self-direction
• Ability to work in various environments, including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive hourly wagecommensurate with experience and certification
• Shift: 10 days on, 10 days off
• Hours: 12per day, 8 Regular, 4Overtime
• Overtime opportunities paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate
