Kal Tire in South Edmonton, AB is growing its mechanical team and seeks a 4th Year Registered Apprentice or a Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician to perform repairs and maintenance across a wide vehicle range. You’ll work with experienced techs, develop advanced skills, and advance toward a Lead Technician role.

Starting wages are $33.60/hour with opportunities for wage increases as you gain certification and experience, plus extended health, dental, vision benefits and RRSP options.

Qualifications

• Fully licensed Automotive Service Technician (Journeyperson/Journeyman or Red Seal certified).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with front-end brakes, shocks, and wheel alignments.
• Experience in inspections, diagnostics, adjustments, servicing, and repairs on a variety of vehicles.
• Attention to detail and methodical problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of general mechanical services, including brake and suspension repairs, engine diagnostics, and routine maintenance.
• Mentor and coach apprentices by sharing your expertise and supporting their skill development in a learning‑focused environment.
• Collaborate with a skilled team while working on various vehicles, from standard passenger cars to light trucks.
• Identify potential mechanical service opportunities in partnership with the Sales team.
• Maintain the highest standards of safety and quality in all tasks.
