Job summary

Kal Tire in Red Deer, AB is seeking an Apprentice Automotive Technician (AST Year 4) to join our team. You’ll enter a structured training program, gain hands-on experience with tires, brakes, and alignments, and progress toward journeyperson certification while delivering exceptional service.

Candidates must be AST Year 4 or Journeyperson; enrollment in an Automotive Technician Program and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Must be AST Year 4 or Journeyperson to be considered.
• Enrolled in Automotive Technician Program or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform front-end brake services, wheel alignments, and shock replacements.
• Remove, install, repair, and balance tires on passenger and light truck vehicles.
• Diagnose tire issues and perform appropriate repairs.
• Operate alignment, oil, lube, and filter services and maintain equipment.
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist with inspections.

• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Physical capability to work in a demanding environment, including heavy lifting and frequent movement.
