Job summary

Kal Tire is seeking a Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician to perform routine maintenance to complex repairs on compact cars, domestic vehicles and light-duty fleets. This full-time, permanent role is based in our 10999- 40 St SE, Calgary store.

Qualifications

• Fully licensed as an Automotive Service Technician (Journeyperson/Journeyman or Red Seal).
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with front-end brakes, shocks, and wheel alignments.
• Experience in inspections, diagnostics, adjustments, servicing and repairs on a variety of vehicles.
• Valid driver’s license and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of general mechanical services, including brake and suspension repairs, engine diagnostics, and routine maintenance.
• Mentor and coach apprentices by sharing your expertise and supporting their skill development in a learning‑focused environment.
• Collaborate with a skilled team while working on various vehicles, from standard passenger cars to light trucks.
• Identify potential mechanical service opportunities in partnership with the Sales team.
• Maintain the highest standards of safety and quality in all tasks.
