Job summary

ESC Corporate Services Ltd. is seeking a Temporary Appraiser for up to 12 months to support our recovery and auction coordination efforts. The role involves inputting data, tracking file progress toward legal sale, and coordinating with Ontario auctions to secure status updates on aging inventory.

The incumbent will report to the Sales Manager and perform related duties including ownership filings, communications with auctions, and general appraisal tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Valid driver’s license for Ontario; Driver's abstract may be required.
• Ability to comfortably use a computer, Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn new technologies/applications.
• Ability to identify problem files for escalation to management.
• Previous repossession experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Input data from the Recovery Department and manage a file’s status as it progresses toward its legal sale date.
• Coordinate with auctions across Canada to obtain status updates on aging inventory.
• Report to Sales Manager; assist with miscellaneous appraisal duties and reports.
• Perform ownership filings with the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario.
• Assist with mailing ownership documents to auctions across Ontario.

Please note:

Due to the nature of the role, this position requires the successful candidate to be 100% on-site.

The Appraiser Will Input Data From The Recovery Department And Manage a File’s Status As It Progresses Towards Its Legal Sale Date. Additionally, The Appraiser Would Be Coordinating With Auctions Across Canada To Obtain Status Updates On Aging Inventory. Reporting To Sales Manager, Other Highlights Include

• Responsible for filling out ownership applications with the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario.


• Obtained ownership for all vehicles sold through Ontario auctions.


• Sent ownerships via mail to auctions across Ontario.


• Miscellaneous appraisal duties which include assessing damages and costs for repair, taking, and uploading photos.


• Miscellaneous office duties / reports as requested.

What You’ll Need

• High school diploma, or equivalent education.

• Ability to comfortably use a computer, Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn new technologies/applications are required.


• Ability to identify \"problem files\" for escalation to management.


• Previous repossession experience is an asset.
