Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company in Calgary, Alberta is hiring Cleaning, Prep, & Finishing Labourers for a night shift. You’ll vacuum, caulk, prep and touch up HVAC units, while following safety policies. Role requires lifting, tool use, and ability to work independently in a loud manufacturing environment.

Qualifications include Grade 12, ability to lift 50 lbs, and safe work practices; OT may be required. Steel-toed boots are required; respirator use may apply.

• Must be willing to work in other areas of our facility as required.
• Previous experience in manufacturing environment an asset.
• Must be able to work OT on weekdays and weekends when required.
• Must communicate effectively with Co-Workers, Team Leads, Supervisors, Engineering, Quality and Health & Safety.
• Comfortable working in loud environments (hearing protection required).
• Steel toed boots (CSA Approved) required.
• Ability to use various hand & power tools (drills, grinders, chop saws, band saws, measuring tape).
• Painting and caulking skills
• Must exhibit safe work practices
• Strong attention to detail
• Safety Requirement – Respirator Use: respirator fit requirement is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Vacuuming, wiping and general housekeeping of HVAC units.
• Caulking, and preparing HVAC units for painting, and applying touch up paint to units.
• Follow Health & Safety Policies, JHA’s & SWP’s and company rules.
• Follow all Company Policies and Rules.

Position Description

Scott Springfield by Modine is tier-1 supplier that offers scalable air handling solutions for commercial and industrial customers across North America. To support its growth and expansion, SSM is looking to add Cleaning, Prep, & Finishing Labourers to our production team.

This is a Night Shift Position from 3:00pm-1:30am Monday-Thursday.

This role will be based at our 2234 Portland St SE location in Calgary Alberta.

Key Responsibilities

• Vacuuming, wiping and general housekeeping of HVAC units
• Caulking, and preparing HVAC units for painting, as well as applying touch up paint to units.
• Employee is responsible to perform the above mentioned, and any other tasks assigned to them in a safe manner and in accordance with our Health & Safety Policies, JHA’s & SWP’s.
• Employee is responsible to understand and follow all Company Policies and Rules.

Required Education & Qualifications

• Grade 12 education or equivalent
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

• Safety Requirement – Respirator Use: This position may involve tasks requiring the use of a respirator. In accordance with occupational health and safety standards, all employees must be clean-shaven where the respirator seals to the face to ensure proper fit and protection. Compliance with this requirement is mandatory for employment in this role.
