Job summary

Modine is seeking a Skid Completion Worker for the night shift in Calgary, reporting to the Production Supervisor. You will assemble skid components, perform basic welding, read blueprints, and ensure high-quality finishes while adhering to safety standards.

The role requires welding/painting experience as an asset, ability to lift 50 lbs, and comfort working in loud environments with required PPE. OT may be required, and the facility operates on-site.

Qualifications

• Welding experience is an asset.
• Painting experience is an asset.
• Must be able to read a measuring tape.
• Forklift and overhead crane certificates are preferred but not required.
• Grade 12 education or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Must demonstrate organizational skills and work independently.
• Must be comfortable working in loud environments with hearing protection.

Responsibilities

Position Description

Scott Springfield by Modine is tier-1 supplier that offers scalable air handling solutions for commercial and industrial customers across North America. Shift Details

This is a Night Shift Position from 3:00pm-1:30am Monday-Thursday.

Location Details

This role will report to our Production Supervisor at our Portland St location, but will work out of our 7007 84 St SE location in Calgary Alberta.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble the skid components according to the design specifications.
• Perform basic welding and assembly.
• Inspect all components and processes to ensure they meet the required quality standards.
• Read accurately blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of parts and assemblies.
• Partner with the Lead Hand to meet standard operation procedures.
• Painting and insulating of skid bases
• Use of hand & power tools (drills, grinders, etc.)
• Ability to operate a power shear.
• Employee is responsible to perform the above mentioned, and any other tasks assigned to them in a safe manner and in accordance with our Health & Safety Policies, JHA’s & SWP’s.
• Employee is responsible to understand and follow all Company Policies and Rules.

Required Education & Qualifications

• Welding experience an asset
• Painting experience an asset
• Must be able to read measure tape

• Must exhibit safe work practices.
• Must be willing to work in other areas of our facility as required.
• Previous experience in manufacturing environment an asset
• Must be able work OT on weekdays and weekends when required.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with Co-Workers, Team Leads, Supervisors, Engineering, Quality and Health & Safety.
• Comfortable working in loud environments (hearing protection required).
• Steel toed boots (CSA Approved 6’ in height or greater) required.
• General understanding of engineering and sheet metal principles.
• Ability to use various hand & power tools (drills, grinders, chop saws, band saws, measuring tape, etc.).
• Safety Requirement – Respirator Use: This position may involve tasks requiring the use of a respirator. In accordance with occupational health and safety standards, all employees must be clean-shaven where the respirator seals to the face to ensure proper fit and protection. Compliance with this requirement is mandatory for employment in this role.
