Job summary

Trail Appliances in Canada is seeking an Appliance Installer to deliver safe, professional installations that meet manufacturer specs and provincial codes, from delivery through setup. You will ensure workmanship, cleanliness, and exceptional customer service.

Your strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving ability will guide you as you install, document serials and parts, operate tools and vehicles safely, and support teammates to keep operations efficient.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use tools safely.
• Ability to read installation manuals and technical documents.
• Excellent customer service and professional communication.
• Physical ability to lift and install large appliances.

Responsibilities

• Complete safe, professional appliance installations per specs and codes.
• Communicate with customers before and during installations and ensure a positive experience.
• Complete installation documentation, serial numbers, damage reports, parts lists, and estimates.
• Maintain and safely operate tools, vehicles, and equipment.

The position:

Reporting to the Installation Services Manager, the Appliance Installer is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and professional appliance installations that provide customers with a seamless experience from delivery through setup. This role ensures installations meet manufacturer specifications and provincial codes while maintaining a high standard of workmanship, communication, cleanliness, and customer service. Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to problem-solve in the field are essential to success in this role.

What you’ll be doing:

• Complete safe, professional appliance installations in accordance with manufacturer specifications, safety requirements, and applicable codes, while minimizing disruption to customers’ homes.
• Communicate with customers before and during installations, including confirming appointments, explaining product operation, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
• Accurately complete all required installation documentation, authorizations, serial numbers, damage reports, part lists, and estimates, and promptly submit or return required paperwork and products.
• Maintain and safely operate all required tools, vehicles, and equipment, ensuring they are clean, functional, and suitable for assigned work.
• Follow all safety and driving practices, maintain required training and technical knowledge, and support fellow technicians and installers as needed to ensure efficient team operations.

What you need to be successful:

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving record and the ability to safely operate a company vehicle.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, with the ability to safely and effectively use tools and equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to read and follow installation manuals, technical documents, and applicable requirements.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a professional and respectful approach when working with customers and team members.
• Physically capable of lifting, moving, and installing large household appliances, while working independently and following all safety standards.
