A leading company in technology seeks an AP Specialist for a contract role based in Surrey, offering part-time or full-time flexibility. The position involves full-cycle accounts payable, working with a close-knit team while providing hybrid work options, ideal for candidates with at least 2 years of AP experience.
Accounts Payable contract opportunity with a large technology company with global operations. PART-TIME or FULL-TIME HOURS, depends on candidate. Based in Surrey, with some hybrid flexibility. Quick interview process and almost immediate start date. This is a great role for an AP professional who wants to work for a complex and interesting company. Working with a tight-knit accounting team. Candidates must have at least 2 years of progressive experience with full-cycle AP.

What- the Role:Our client seeking a new AP Specialist to join their tightknit team at a corporate office in Surrey. The AP Specialist will do the full-cycle processing of around 100 invoices a month, and will also monitor the AP inbox, set-up new vendors, conduct reconciliations (credit card recs, bank recs, and AP subledger reconciliation). This is a well-rounded AP role that is well-suited to someone who is hands-on and likes taking accountability for the full cycle of AP. Working on a tightknit team of 8+ people on the accounting team in the Surrey office.
Using Excel and an ERP.
This is a contract role that is open due to the upcoming leave of one of the permanent employees. It is hard to predict the length of the contract right now, but at least 3 months and perhaps closer to 6 months. The company would prefer the contractor to work on part time hours (around 20 to 30 hours a week) but possibly could make this a full-time job for someone adaptable with the right skillset.
Who- the Candidate:We are looking for an individual with at least 2 years (preferably 4+ years) of AP work experience within a multi-entity, multi-currency, and complex organization. Experience with AP for US operations is highly preferred, as is experience with a public company and SOX compliance. We are looking for people who are systems savvy and proficient in Excel (pivot tables, V look-ups, etc.) is required. Ideally candidates will have used a few different ERPs/financial systems. Qualified candidates will have a friendly, clear, and professional communication style.
How Much:Competitive hourly contracting rate commensurate with level of relevant skills, experience, and education, likely in the range of $25 to $32 an hour.
Where:HYBRID. The company is headquartered in Surrey. Close to various bus lines, and nearby free parking. Please discuss with SWIM what kind of hours and hybrid situation works for you- the company has flexibility on the work schedule. For example, the AP Specialist could work Mon to Fri for 4 hours a day, or full days Tues and Wed with a half day Thurs, etc… and there can be a mix of in-office and at-home work.
