Job description

When customers call Champagne Glass & Door, we want them to feel like they've reached a real person who wants to help.

We’re looking for an AP/AR Customer Service Representative who is warm, organized, confident on the phone, and persistent about following up. You’ll be the first point of contact for many of our customers and prospective customers, helping turn inquiries into booked estimates while keeping our customer and financial records accurate and up to date.

You don’t need an accounting degree or a background in bookkeeping. We’re looking for someone who is great with people, pays attention to detail, learns systems quickly, and takes pride in getting things done properly.

What you’ll do
Customer service & lead follow-up — your primary focus
  • Answer incoming calls, emails, and texts promptly, warmly, and professionally.
  • Talk with customers about their projects and capture the information our team needs.
  • Follow up with web, QR-code, and home show leads and help turn inquiries into booked estimates.
  • Communicate with customers through Jobber using their preferred method of contact.
  • Welcome showroom visitors and connect them with the right team member.
  • Coordinate warranty and service requests.
  • Keep customers informed about appointments, confirmations, and timelines.
  • Follow up consistently so good leads don’t disappear.
AP/AR support

You’ll also provide accurate, organized data-entry support for accounts payable and receivable, including:

  • Monitoring the company inbox for supplier invoices.
  • Logging and uploading invoices into Dext.
  • Preparing the bi-weekly list of payables for approval.
  • Maintaining accurate vendor records.
  • Tracking outstanding customer invoices and following up on overdue accounts.
  • Recording customer payments in the system.
  • Updating customer account information.
  • Preparing basic AR status reports.
  • Answering routine billing questions and escalating financial issues when needed.
Office & systems support
  • Keep customer and job records accurate in Jobber.
  • Support general office correspondence and filing.
  • Learn and follow established Jobber and Dext processes.
  • Notice when something isn’t working well and flag opportunities to improve it.
What we’re looking for

You’ll likely do well in this role if you have:

  • At least 1 year of customer service experience.
  • Confidence speaking with customers on the phone.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Good attention to detail and data-entry accuracy.
  • Comfort learning new software and systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple incoming requests.
  • A reliable, punctual, team-oriented approach.
  • The persistence to follow up rather than waiting for someone else to do it.
  • The judgment to ask questions when something doesn’t look right.

Experience in construction, trades, or a similar environment is an asset, but accounting experience or a degree is not required.

The person we’re hoping to meet

You’re the kind of person who can have a great conversation with a customer at 10:00 a.m., enter an invoice accurately at 10:15, chase down a lead at 10:30, and still know exactly what needs to happen next.

You’re friendly without being passive. You’re organized without needing everything to be perfect. You’re comfortable picking up the phone, asking questions, and following something through to completion.

Most importantly, you care about the experience people have when they interact with the company.

A role with room to grow

This position starts with a strong customer-service focus alongside AP/AR data-entry support. As you become confident with our systems and processes, there is an opportunity to take on greater ownership of AP/AR responsibilities.

What to expect

This is an in-office position, five days a week. The environment is fast-paced, with a steady flow of calls, emails, texts, customers, and administrative work. Standard business hours apply, with occasional flexibility required for home shows or other events.
