Job summary

Vaco is seeking an experienced accounts payable professional in the Greater Toronto Area to own the full AP cycle across multiple entities. You will process, code and post invoices, resolve discrepancies and manage vendor relationships to ensure timely payments and discount captures.

You will prepare CAD and USD payment batches, including EFT/ACH transfers, and support month-end close with accruals and journal entries. Strong Excel and ERP skills are essential for accuracy.

Qualifications

• At least two years of AP and general accounting experience.
• Diploma or degree in accounting or finance.
• Strong Excel skills and ERP familiarity; experience with electronic payment files and online banking.

Responsibilities

• Own the full AP cycle: processing, coding, posting invoices and resolving discrepancies.

About the Opportunity

• Own the full accounts payable cycle, from processing, coding and posting supplier and expense invoices to resolving discrepancies, reconciling vendor accounts, and reviewing AP aging so payments land within terms and discounts are captured
• Prepare payment batches, EFT files and online banking uploads for CAD and USD payments, including ACH/EFT transactions to Canadian and U.S. suppliers, with the right authorizations in place every time
• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close across multiple legal entities by preparing accruals, journal entries and prepaid schedules, maintaining balance sheet tracking spreadsheets, and determining vendor purchase cut-offs

About You

• An accounting professional with at least two years of hands-on AP and general accounting experience, including month-end close work, and a diploma or degree in accounting or finance
• Strong in Excel and comfortable in an ERP, with real experience preparing electronic payment files, working in online banking platforms, and handling cross-border CAD and USD payments
• Organized and persistent, with the judgment to chase down discrepancies, keep vendor relationships positive, and manage deadlines across several entities without losing accuracy

Pay Range

$53,000 - $57,000 per year
