Job summary

Canada Packers Inc. in Grunthal, MB, is seeking an Animal Care Technician to join a hands-on, safety-first team dedicated to animal health and well-being. You will contribute daily to feeding, care, and a clean, healthy barn environment.

You should be able to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays, lift up to 25 kg, and travel to a rural location. The role offers starting pay at $19 per hour, benefits, vacation, and development opportunities inside a values-driven workplace.

Qualifications

• Commitment to PPE and safety protocols.

Location:Southern Valley(Grunthal, MB)
Employment Type:Full-time (40 hours/week)
Salary:Starting wage from $19.00 per hour.
Schedule:Rotating shifts that include weekends, holidays, and occasional alarm response.

Responsibilities:

Working closely with the Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operations in the barn. This includes a variety of physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, bending, lifting (up to 25kg), and continuous walking. Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Feeding and providing general care for pigs.
• Maintaining herd health and clean and safe environment for pigs.
• Pressure washing and preparing rooms for animal entry.
• Performing minor maintenance and sanitation tasks.
• Completing clerical duties such as maintaining door charts, inventory trackers, and ordering feed and medication.

Skills & Experience:
