Job summary

Giant Tiger in Johnstown, ON is seeking an Anchoring and Wrapping Associate for our fully automated distribution centre. This permanent, full‑time evening shift role involves wrapping pallets on an automated machine, organizing pallets for loading, conducting spot inventories, and maintaining a safe, clean work area in compliance with OSHA/WHMIS standards.

You'll train for three days and obtain in‑house certification, with a pay rate of $20.48/hour, overnight premium if applicable, and benefits

• Clear ability to follow directions and maintain accuracy.
• Must be able to stand/walk for long periods and lift heavy items.
• Onboarding includes three days of paid machine training and in-house certification.

Responsibilities

• Wrap pallets with automated wrapping machine.
• Organize pallets for loading onto trailers and assign shipping lanes.
• Conduct physical inventories and manage pallet transfers.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and adhere to OSHA/WHMIS standards.
• Perform pallet consolidation and full pallet picks from staging areas.

Giant Tiger Wholesale is looking to hire a permanent, full‑time Anchoring and Wrapping Associate for our fully automated 660,000 square foot distribution centre in Johnstown, ON!

What You’ll Be Doing

• Wrap pallets and skids using an automated wrapping machine
• Organize and account for pallets to be loaded on assigned trailers
• Verify and place pallets in assigned shipping lanes
• Conduct physical inventories
• Sorts and lanes items and pallets from transfer racks and lanes
• Assist in pallet consolidation for loading
• Complete full pallet picks from staging areas
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety and comply with Ontario Safety and Health Act (OSHA) and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) standards
• Pick store orders as required
• Operate an electric pallet truck capable of pulling 2 skids at a time
• Various warehouse duties, as prescribed by the supervisor

What You’ll Bring

• Ability to follow direction
• Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift heavy items for extended periods of time
• Strong attention to detail
• Voice picking or Manhattan Warehouse Management System experience is an asset
• As part of your onboarding, you will berequired to complete three days of paid machine training and successfully obtain in‑house certification. Successful machine certification is a mandatory condition of employment as it isan occupational requirement.
