Job summary

Giant Tiger Wholesale is hiring a permanent Part Time Warehouse Order Picker for our 660,000 square foot distribution center in Johnstown, Ontario. This role supports over 270 Giant Tiger stores across Canada by picking orders and preparing shipments with care.

You’ll lift boxes from 1 to 50 pounds, operate an electric pallet truck, and follow safety guidelines. Experience with Voice Picking or Manhattan WMS is a plus. Training and in-house certification are provided as part of on-boarding.

Qualifications

• Must follow OSHA/WHMIS standards.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift heavy objects.
• Comfortable in a noisy, fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Punctual, adaptable, with strong attention to detail.
• Onboarding includes three days of paid machine training and in-house certification.

Order Picker (Day Shift, Part Time)

About This Role:

Giant Tiger Wholesale is looking to hire a permanent Part Time Warehouse Order Picker for our 660,000 square foot distributioncentrein Johnstown, Ontario!

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Pick orders to supply over 270 Giant Tiger stores across Canada with their inventory

• Pile various sized boxes onto skids ensuring safe, secure, and accurate piles

• Lift boxes repeatedly with a weight range of 1-50 pounds while maintaining strict Health and Safety guidelines

• Drive an electric double pallet truck around the warehouse to fulfill orders with a focus on safe and efficient operation

• Identify and match picked skids with outbound license plate numbers (OLPNs) provided with the order

• Certify accuracy for all picked inventory and ensure orders are ready for shipment within set deadlines

• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area

• Support other departments as directed by the supervisor

What You’ll Bring:

• Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety and complies with Ontario Safety and Health Act (OSHA), and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) standards

• Capable of standing, walking, climbing stairs and repetitively lifting heavy objects throughout shift

• Comfortable in a noisy, fast-paced environment

• Punctual, adaptable, and strong attention to detail

• Able to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor

• As part of your onboarding, you willberequiredto complete three days of paid machine training and successfully obtain in-house certification. Successful machine certification is a mandatory condition of employment as it isan occupational requirement.

Assets You May Have:

• Experience with Voice Picking or Manhattan Warehouse Management System

• Experience driving an electric double pallet truck or similar machine

• Experience in a warehouse environment

• Class G2 or higher driver’s license

When You’ll Work:

Saturday and Sunday 6:30am - 5:00pm
