Job summary

Giant Tiger Wholesale is seeking a permanent, full‑time Shipper (Evenings) for our 660,000 sq ft distribution centre in Johnstown, ON. You will operate forklifts, verify pallets, and load goods onto trucks, maintaining daily productivity counts in a fast‑paced, safety‑driven environment.

The role requires OSHA/WHMIS compliance, physical stamina, and basic math/PC skills. Paid training and a machine certification are provided, with overnight premium opportunities and a comprehensive benefits

• Able to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Drive forklifts and low lift pallet jacks through high trafficked areas with a focus on safe and efficient operation.
• Verify and organize wrapped pallets.
• Prepare and lane wrapped pallets, ensuring they in the correct pallet location.
• Load wrapped pallets onto trucks with care and precision.
• Maintain a daily productivity count.
• Support other departments when necessary as directed by the supervisor.

What You’ll Be Doing:

What You’ll Bring:

• Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety and complies with Ontario Safety and Health Act (OSHA), and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) standards
• Capable of sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting heavy objects throughout shift
• Comfortable in a noisy, fast-paced environment and operating forklift in confined areas
• Punctual, self-motivated, attention to detail and spatially aware of surroundings
• Basic math and PC skills

As part of your onboarding, you will be required to complete three days of paid machine training and successfully obtain in-house certification. Successful machine certification is a mandatory condition of employment as it is an occupational requirement.

Assets You May Have:

• Completion of High School;
• Experience in a warehouse environment
• Experience with a Warehouse Management System
• Experience operating a forklift or similar machine
• Positive attitude
• Class G2 or higher driver's licence

When You’ll Work:

Tuesday-Saturday, 3:00pm - 1:30am
