Job summary

Giant Tiger Wholesale is seeking a permanent, full-time Receiving Dock Associate for our fully automated distribution centre in Johnstown, ON. You will support unloading, sorting, and moving goods through the receiving dock, while maintaining dock cleanliness and safety standards.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid G2+ license, and prior order picker experience. Expect standing most of the day, lifting up to 50 pounds, and basic PC skills; voice-picking experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school completion is required.
• Valid Class G2 or higher driver’s licence.
• Experience as an Order Picker or similar position.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift heavy items for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Basic PC skills.
• Voice picking or Manhattan Warehouse Management System experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Unload containers with a low-lift double pallet jack.
• Assist receivers in offloading and sorting receiving goods.
• Move receiving pallets to cross aisle locations or drive-in rack locations.
• Keep dock areas tidy and organized per company standards.
• Repack and unload containers as needed.
• Lift boxes ranging from 1 to 50 pounds.
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.

Giant Tiger Wholesale is looking to hire a permanent, full-time Receiving Dock Associate for our fully automated 660,000 square foot distribution centre in Johnstown, ON! What You’ll Be Doing:

• Assisting lumpers in unloading containers using a low lift double pallet jack;


• Assist receivers in the offloading and sorting of receiving goods based process;


• Run receiving pallets from the receiving dock to cross aisle locations or drive in rack locations;


• Assist in organization and tidiness of the dock areas (basic clean up, ensuring supply of empty pallets, store dunnage, etc.) in accordance with company standards;


• Repack and container unloading as necessary;


• Lift boxes ranging 1 - 50 pounds;


• Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards

What You’ll Bring:

• Completion of High School.

As part of your onboarding, you willberequiredto complete three days of paid machine training and successfully obtain in-house certification. Successful machine certification is a mandatory condition of employment as it isan occupational requirement.

Tuesday - Saturday, 6:00am - 2:30pm

Hourly Rate $20.48
