Job summary

Tundra Technical Solutions is seeking a Platform Support Specialist to join our Analytics Platform Support team. The role focuses on maintaining Cognos, Tableau and Power BI platforms across hardware, software, VMs, and storage, with an emphasis on administration rather than development.

Candidates should have hands-on platform-level admin experience, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to work across on-prem and Azure cloud environments to ensure high availability

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience administering Cognos, Power BI, and Tableau.
• Experience with AIX, Windows, DB2, and SQL Server.
• Strong understanding of platform architecture, patching, upgrades, deployment, and VM management.
• Experience with on-prem, Azure cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Familiarity with platform monitoring tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Administration experience for Cognos, Power BI, Tableau (admin, not development).
• Infrastructure and Unix experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain the Cognos, Tableau and Power BI platforms, including upgrades, patches, license and user management, performance tuning.
• Monitor and manage the above platforms across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Ensure high availability and reliability of the platform for development, testing, and production environments.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to ensure compliance and optimal configuration.
• Provide production support and troubleshoot platform-related issues.
• Document platform configurations, procedures, and support runbooks.
