Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Canada Inc. seeks an experienced BI Technical Lead to drive the Tableau-to-Power BI migration and BI modernization. You will lead a team, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure end-to-end delivery of dashboards, data models, and data sources.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong BI domain knowledge, and the ability to guide complex migrations across enterprise environments in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Good years of experience in BI/Analytics.
• Strong hands-on Tableau design and calculations.
• Strong hands-on Power BI with DAX and M (Power Query).
• Proven Tableau-to-Power BI migration experience.
• Strong SQL skills and relational databases.
• Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, Azure Synapse.
• Knowledge of BI performance tuning and best practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to work independently and lead teams in fast-paced environments.
• Experience with Azure data services (ADF).

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced BI Technical Lead with strong expertise in Tableau and Power BI to lead the migration of enterprise dashboards and reports from Tableau to Power BI.

The role requires hands‑on technical leadership, stakeholder coordination, and the ability to guide a team through end‑to‑end BI modernization initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

• good years of experience in Business Intelligence / Analytics.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Tableau (dashboard design, calculated fields, LODs).
• Strong hands‑on experience with Power BI, including: Power BI Desktop & Service DAXPower Query (M language)
• Proven experience leading or contributing to Tableau‑to‑Power BI migration projects.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
• Experience with data sources such as SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, or similar.
• Solid understanding of BI performance tuning and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the migration of Tableau reports, dashboards, and data sources to Power BI.

• Design and develop Power BI data models, DAX measures, and reports aligned with business requirements.
• Translate Tableau calculations, LOD expressions, and visualizations into Power BI equivalents.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure reporting accuracy.
• Guide and mentor BI developers, conducting code reviews and ensuring quality delivery.
• Optimize Power BI reports for performance, scalability, and usability.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams on data sourcing, transformations, and refresh strategies.
• Ensure proper documentation and knowledge transfer post‑migration.

Salary Range - CA$ 100,000 - CA$ 120,000 Per Year
