Job summary

Coke Canada Bottling in Brampton, ON, is seeking a Transportation Analyst to support the transportation team with project initiatives, process improvement and carrier scorecards. You will help define metrics and ensure systems support effective transportation management.

Reporting to the Director of Transportation, you will work with the Manager Transportation Operations and the Manager Raw Material Transportation to optimize processes and cost, with a total BP budget of $85M.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in transportation or logistics.
  • Strong data analysis, project management and communication skills.
  • Experience with SAP and Transport Management Software (TMS) preferred.
  • Background in process improvement or Six Sigma is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analysis and project documents to identify cost reductions and service improvements.
  • Interpret stakeholder feedback to evaluate process performance.
  • Provide team metrics to track performance of transport planners and trends.
  • Develop and steward the carrier performance process to improve cost, service and risk.
  • Lead strategic initiatives for the transportation department.
  • Support annual Business Planning activities with an $85M total budget.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on best practice initiatives.

  • Work Location – Brampton, ON
  • Shift/Hours or Hybrid Environment – 3 days on-site, 40h week
  • The full base salary range for this position is from $70,650 - $78,500 annually. The starting base salary offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, role complexity, skills, experience, and internal equity.

About This Opportunity

Reporting to the Director of Transportation, the Transportation Analyst is responsible for supporting the transportation team’s activities dedicated to project initiatives, process definition and improvement, carrier scorecards and the development and deployment of appropriate business metrics.

This role also works closely with the Manager Transportation Operations and the Manager Raw Material Transportation and Transportation Technology to ensure appropriate process, measurement and systems are in place to manage the transportation business effectively in their respective areas of responsibility.

Responsibilities
  • Perform analysis and project documents to highlight opportunities to reduce transportation costs., improve service and improve carbon footprint
  • Interpret feedback from stakeholders to evaluate performance of processes or innovations using trend analysis and other tools
  • Facilitate the provision of team metrics to help the business improve performance tracking the performance of transport planners, analyzing trends and benchmarking to identify areas for improved service
  • Responsible for developing and stewarding the carrier performance process to facilitate collaboration and improve cost, service & risk compliance.
  • Participate and/or manage key strategic initiatives (e sustainability projects) for the department
  • Support analysis required for annual Business Planning (BP) activities (total budget of $85M)
  • Participate in best practice initiatives with various stakeholders on behalf of transportation
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong skills in the areas of coaching, delegating, managing, communication, presentation, analytical thinking & project management
  • Strong skills in the areas of data analysis, process & project management
  • Background in Project management, Process re-engineering, Six Sigma, continuous improvement would be preferred
  • Work with the other supply chain functions to support the requirements of the business and deliver exceptional service. The position is at the forefront in providing innovative solutions that increase our value to the business.
  • Knowledge of SAP and Transport Management Software (TMS) applications and able to extract and utilize related data to support projects and various business initiatives
