As a Analyst - HRMS within our HR Systems and Total Rewards Department, you will be responsible for the functional development and utilization of the PeopleSoft Human Resources Management System (HRMS).

What will your typical day look like?

  • Researches and implements new PeopleSoft HRMS modules and / or functionality in response to Management defined business requirements and legislative changes. Recommends business processes required to support HRMS functionality.
  • Documents business requirements, designs test plans and security access and performs configuration and testing related to upgrades or customizations to ensure all processes are operational and data integrity is maintained.
  • Troubleshoots and researches HRMS system problems. Liaises with Police Information Technology Services, Regional Information Systems and Technology Services personnel and other key support personnel as required for problem solving and technical support. Provides guidance, clarification and resolution to HRMS related system issues.
  • Develops reports and generates statistics as required in response to external and internal inquiries.
  • Develops training materials and application user manuals, and delivers end user training as required.
  • Participates on cross functional teams related to HRMS development projects and co-ordinates project management and implementation of projects.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

You are someone with :

  • A University Degree or College Diploma in Information Systems or Business Administration or equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of three years related experience with PeopleSoft HRMS required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HRMS query / reporting
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge of related computer applications pertinent to the function
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Crystal Reports, XML Publishing
  • Effective oral communication and writing skills
  • Demonstrated analytical, research and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated organizational and project management skills
  • Experience delivering training programs preferred
  • Valid Ontario Driver`s Licence (Class G) with full driving privileges

The salary range for this permanent, full-time position is $70,421 to 118,651 and is complemented with a comprehensive benefit program, including employer-paid Health / Dental and Life Insurance; and the OMERS Pension Plan effective upon hire. Peel Regional Police offers a highly competitive compensation package; applicants will be considered for the top end of the rangebased on experience.
