Job summary

CIBC is seeking a Consultant, Risk Analytics to lead and support AML analytics initiatives within the compliance program. You will translate business needs into technical specs, develop data-driven reports, and improve transaction monitoring and sanction screening systems.

The role combines on-site and remote work (1-3 days on-site in Toronto) and requires strong SQL, data mining, and experience with SAS, R, Python. A Bachelor’s degree and ACAMS accreditation are assets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of analytics or technical work in financial services or regulatory environments.
• Strong SQL, data mining and tuning capabilities; experience with SAS, R or Python.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics, Economics, CS, applied mathematics or related field. ACAMS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead AML analytics requests and ensure data quality for the program.
• Develop and maintain quantitative reports and analytics for monitoring systems.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications and support data quality efforts.
