Schroeder Ambulatory Centre is seeking a Patient Access & Referral Specialist to coordinate referrals, manage patient access workflows, and support clinic scheduling across specialty clinics.

The role involves collaborating with physicians, nurses, and administrative teams to ensure a seamless patient journey from referral to appointment booking, in a fast-paced ambulatory care environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of a post-secondary program in medical office administration or related field.
• Minimum two years of ambulatory care/clinical healthcare admin experience.
• Experience with patient scheduling, referrals, registration, or clinic operations is an asset.

Responsabilités

• Review, process, and coordinate incoming patient referrals for assigned clinics.
• Schedule and manage appointments using electronic medical record systems.
• Maintain referral tracking records and waitlists; monitor volumes and turnaround times.
• Communicate with referring providers to obtain missing information and required documentation.
