Job summary

CHANEL is seeking an Alterations Lead to oversee the boutique Atelier, ensuring precise, elevated fittings and adherence to tailoring standards. You will develop the tailoring team, coordinate Atelier operations, and manage workload to support an exceptional client experience.

The role requires strong sewing expertise, 6-7 years in luxury tailoring, and proven leadership. Fluency in English and comfort with digital reporting are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or strong background in sewing, tailoring, or alterations.
• 6-7 years of tailoring experience, ideally in luxury fashion.
• Deep knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and finishing.
• Experience leading, coaching, or developing a team.
• Excellent client communication, organization, rigor and accountability.
• Fluent English; comfortable with digital tools and reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client fittings and recommend alteration solutions preserving garment style.
• Validate alteration decisions and finished work for quality and consistency.
• Lead, coach, and develop tailors; assign work by skills and deadlines.
• Coordinate atelier priorities, workload, client commitments, and equipment.
• Monitor performance, lead times, quality and updates to boutique leadership.
• Collaborate with Fashion Advisors to support client loyalty and an elevated fitting journey.
