CHANEL Canada ULC – Vancouver Boutique is seeking a skilled Seamstress to deliver premium alteration services with meticulous attention to detail. You will tailor garments to CHANEL standards, conduct precise fittings, and ensure pristine finish while upholding extraordinary client care.

As part of a luxury team, you will advise clients on garment care and collaborate with staff to ensure a seamless, elegant shopping experience. Weekend availability is required in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional tailoring experience, preferably in luxury fashion.
• Excellent client service experience in a luxury retail environment.
• Willingness to work retail hours, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Execute premium tailoring and alteration services to CHANEL standards and deadlines.
• Learn collections to tailor according to guidelines and etiquette.
• Assess garments for necessary adjustments and tailor to perfection.
• Conduct fittings with clients, guiding preferences and needs.
• Perform quality checks on finished alterations and ensure craftsmanship.
• Share alteration details with Boutique staff to keep team informed.
• Build lasting client relationships and advise on garment care and after‑sales services.
• Maintain a clean, organized Tailor Shop and assist with stock quality control.

As a Seamstress, you will provide premium alteration services, maintain the highest standards of quality, and contribute to the seamless operations of the Vancouver Boutique. You will play a key role in enhancing client satisfaction and fostering brand loyalty through superior craftsmanship and attentive service.

Tailoring Excellence

• Execute premium tailoring and alteration services, ensuring garments meet CHANEL's Global standards, while meeting alteration deadlines.
• Learn each collection to understand the Studio's statements, recommend alteration methods accordingly, and stay up-to-date on evolvements of guidelines over time.
• Meticulously assess each garment to identify necessary adjustments, ensuring every piece is tailored to perfection.
• Conduct fittings with precision, providing expert guidance to clients while respecting their preferences and needs.
• Perform thorough quality checks on finished alterations, guaranteeing cleanliness, precision, and overall craftsmanship.
• Consistently share collection alteration information on garments with Boutique staff.

Client Relationships

• Build strong and lasting relationships with clients, ensuring their tailoring needs are met with professionalism and care.
• Offer expert advice on garment care, maintenance, and after-sales services to enhance the longevity of each piece.
• Collaborate with the boutique team to deliver a seamless and luxurious client journey.

Operational Efficiency

• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully equipped Tailor Shop to support efficient operations and when required, inform your manager of the shop’s needs regarding tools, materials and supplies
• Assist in stock quality control, repairing or adjusting items as necessary to uphold CHANEL’s standards.
• Ensure timely and accurate record-keeping for all tailoring activities using Chanel after-sales platforms/tools and communicate effectively with the boutique team.
