Job summary

Ornge is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer for its Timmins base. You will perform aircraft maintenance, inspections, repairs, and modifications, supporting both airframes and power plants while adhering to company policies and procedures.

The role offers a full-time, permanent position with competitive compensation under the OPEIU collective agreement, plus eligible monthly allowances and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a current and valid Transport Canada M1 and/or M2 license.
  • Experience AW139 or PC12 is considered an asset.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer literate with MS Word, MS Excel, and e-mail.
  • Valid Canadian passport or ability to work in Canada and travel to the USA.
  • Must be able to obtain and retain a Restricted Area Identity Card per Transport Canada requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform aircraft maintenance, inspections, repairs, and modifications.
  • Support airframe and powerplant tasks as part of the Ornge Air maintenance team.
  • Coordinate activities with the Ornge Air team to ensure safety and compliance.

In addition to base salary, a monthly $1793.47applied as applicable up to the annual amount of $20,000.00*

Hours of Work:


  • Rotating day shift (5 days on, 2 days off) as per the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • May be required to work various shifts and overtime, including days, weekends, statutory holidays, and on-call in a 24/7 environment.

Skills and Qualifications:


Include, but not limited to, the following minimum skills and qualifications:

  • Must be able to obtain and retain a Restricted Area Identity Card in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada.
