Job summary

Ornge is hiring an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer at our Sudbury base. This full-time role covers airframe inspections, repairs, and modifications, with responsibilities to support maintenance across our fleet.

You must hold a TC M1 or M2 license, with AW139 or PC12 experience considered an asset, and be able to work rotating day shifts. Salary ranges from CAD 75,023 to 92,889 annually, plus a monthly stipend up to CAD 20,000. Relocation to base may be required and comprehensive benefits apply.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a current and valid Transport Canada M1 and/or M2 license.
  • Experience AW139 or PC12 considered an asset.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer literate with MS Word, MS Excel, and e-mail.
  • Possess Canadian passport or ability to work in Canada and travel to the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Handle power plant removal and installations.

Job description

  • Aircraft Type: AW139 or PC12 experience considered an asset
  • Schedule: Rotating day shift pattern of 5 days on/5 days off, 4 days on/5 days off. Not a touring position - candidates must live or relocate to Sudbury.
  • Annual Stipend: Up to $20,000 CAD/year, applied monthly ($1,793.47/month) as applicable, in addition to base salary

Position Title: Aircraft Maintenance Engineer

Compensation: January 2026 Rate: $75,022.79-$92,889.33 as per Collective Bargaining Agreement (OPEIU). In addition to base salary, a monthly $1793.47 applied as applicable up to the annual amount of $20,000.00*

Location: Sudbury. To note: As this is not a touring position, candidates must live or be willing to relocate to the base location.

Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Ornge Air maintenance team at our Sudbury super base. Our incredible team of professionals provide complete aircraft maintenance, support, and services including airframe inspections, repair and modifications, power plant removal and installations, and repairs, while ensuring proper adherence to Company policies and procedures.

Hours Of Work
  • Rotating day shift pattern of 5 days on/5 days off, 4 days on/5 days off.
  • May be required to work various shifts and overtime, including days, weekends, statutory holidays, and on-call in a 24/7 environment.
Skills And Qualifications
  • Must hold a current and valid Transport Canada M1 and/or M2 license.
  • Experience AW139 or PC12 considered an asset.
  • Must have a valid driver's license in good standing.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer literate with a working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, and e-mail.
  • Valid Canadian passport or ability to work in Canada and ability to travel to the U.S.A.
  • Must be able to obtain and retain a Restricted Area Identity Card in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada.
