Administrative Coordinator – Base Administrator GTA Land Base

Position Title: Administrative Coordinator (Base-Level) – Base Administrator GTA Land Base

Department/Section: Base Management

Employment Status: Permanent Full Time

Targeted Salary Range: $51,843.75-$61,563.71

Work Mode: On-Site

Location: GTA Base, Boylen Road – travel to Peterborough as needed (see details)

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week

Responsibilities
  • daily administrative support to base staff, fostering a safe, collaborative, and professional work environment
  • Coordinate and manage administrative tasks including payroll activities and inventory tracking for medications, consumables, and equipment
  • Organize and schedule internal and external meetings (in-person and virtual), prepare agendas, and distribute meeting minutes
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to ensure operational updates and compliance
  • Support technical and operational processes to maintain efficiency and resource utilization
  • Promote Ornge’s mission and values through professional interactions and teamwork
Qualifications
  • Post‑secondary education in Business Administration, Office Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in administrative coordination or operations support, ideally in healthcare, EMS, or a similar environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to prepare reports, correspondence, and meeting documentation with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills, tact, and diplomacy when handling sensitive issues
  • Valid “G” Class Driver’s License with a satisfactory driver’s abstract
