Job summary

HCL Technologies Limited seeks a Solution Principal I to lead modernization and AI transformation engagements for key clients in Canada. You will own opportunities from qualification to delivery, shaping win themes and coordinating Solution Architects to present compelling solutions to client executives.

You will combine business development, technical credibility, and leadership to grow a portfolio of opportunities, drive revenue, and ensure successful outcomes for complex deals with hyperscale

Qualifications

• 10-14 years of consulting, professional services, or client-facing technology leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to close $1M+ engagements in cloud, modernization, or digital transformation.
• Strong credibility as a former practitioner – can hold a technical conversation with client architects.
• Excellent commercial acumen: pricing models, margin management, risk transfer, and contract structuring.
• Fluency in the GenAI-enabled modernization narrative and the AI Workbench value proposition.
• Integrate GenAI tooling across the full SDLC: requirements, design, code generation, testing, security scanning, and documentation.
• Establish AI-augmented CI/CD pipelines with automated regression, semantic diff, and migration validation gates.
• Define branching strategies and migration-as-code patterns for legacy cutover events.
• Champion shift-left testing and observability in modernized platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of modernization opportunities from qualification through close and delivery.
• Lead pursuit teams: shape win themes, orchestrate Solution Architects, price engagements, and present to client buyers.
• Ensure adherence to architectural principles, coding standards, best practices in model development, versioning, testing, and validation.
• Partner with Enterprise Architects and Solution Architects to translate technical solutions into compelling commercial narratives.
• Act as the executive sponsor for active engagements, managing escalations and steering committees.
• Develop and maintain client relationships at director and VP levels across engagements.
• Contribute to practice development: case studies, GTM motions, and partner co-selling.
• Integrate GenAI tooling across the full SDLC: requirements, design, code generation, testing, security scanning, and documentation.
• Build AI-augmented CI/CD pipelines and rollback playbooks for high-risk migrations.
