Qualifications

• 4–7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 1 year in a true HRBP role
• Direct experience supporting EPDD or R&D teams is a major plus
• Advisory instincts: shape decisions with data, insights and influence
• Experience managing leave programs and immigration cases
• Genuine AI fluency—built or improved an AI-driven workflow
• Strong knowledge of Canadian & US employment law
• HRIS experience (Rippling)
• Toronto-based and energized by in-person collaboration

Responsibilities

• Serve as the dedicated HRBP for EPDD managers and senior managers—proactively building relationships
• Coach leaders through performance conversations, ER cases, and difficult people decisions
• Partner on org health using data to spot patterns and help leaders anticipate friction
• Support end-to-end performance management cycles—feedback, documentation, and exits
• Be an approachable partner for Homies across the team in moments that matter
• Be the team's SME on Canadian employment law and market practices
• Deliver high-quality talent programs and automate where possible
