Job summary

Slalom in Canada is seeking an Architect or Sr. Architect to lead the architecture of client solutions in AI-first engineering. You’ll guide GenAI integration, design SDLC flows, and mentor multi-disciplinary teams to deliver ship-ready increments.

This role blends hands-on architecture with leadership, cloud and DevOps, and collaboration with product and field teams to translate complex AI concepts into business outcomes. Hybrid/in-office with program-level impact.

Qualifications

• 6+ years building and operating production software with leadership in architecture.
• Hands-on AI-accelerated development using modern tooling and AI agents.
• Proven GenAI integration experience across multiple developers and AI agents.
• Deep knowledge of APIs, microservices, eventing, reliability and security.
• Proficiency in TypeScript/Node, Python, or Java; React/Next familiarity.
• Cloud & DevOps expertise across AWS/Azure/GCP with observability.

Responsibilities

• Redefine the AI-first SDLC with flows, patterns and guardrails.
• Lead context engineering using prompt templating, embeddings and retrieval.
• Orchestrate GenAI-driven teams and ensure productive collaboration.
• Ship AI-enabled platforms with repeatable evaluation and CI/CD hooks.
• Stay hands-on with product architecture while prototyping AI solutions.
• Coach teams and clients to adopt AI-enabled working practices.
