Job summary

Pacer Group in Montreal, QC is seeking a data engineer on a 12-month contract with a hybrid setup (3 days on site).

You will work across Snowflake Data Warehouse, SQL, Python, and major cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP), applying modern data engineering concepts, ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling and analytics. Experience with AI/Generative AI tools such as Claude and Copilot is a plus, and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake Data Warehouse and modern data engineering concepts.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, query optimization, and analytics.
• Strong programming experience in Python for data processing, automation, scripting, and API integrations.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Knowledge of AI/Generative AI technologies with hands-on experience using tools such as Claude and Microsoft Copilot.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, and analytics solutions.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
