Job summary

Four Rivers Co-op in Prince George, BC is seeking an experienced Agro Operations Leader to plan and direct day-to-day operations, assigning duties and scheduling with the Store Manager.

You will lead a 6–10 person Agro team, drive customer service excellence, promote health and safety, manage stock ordering, and ensure compliance with policies, contributing to growth and community support.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in a related field is required.
• Five years of progressively responsible experience in Agriculture retail, preferably at a leadership level.
• Proven ability to control operational costs and improve margins.
• Demonstrated leadership of a 6–10 person team.
• Valid driver’s license with clean abstract.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct day-to-day operations, assign duties, and plan scheduling with the Store Manager.
• Maintain Four Rivers Co-op’s high standards for customer service and brand-aligned experience.
• Lead, coach, and motivate Agro staff to improve productivity and retention.
• Promote the Co-op Health and Safety Program.
• Ensure procedures for merchandise and feeds are followed per Co-op standards.
• Oversee weekly stock ordering and inventories; authorize invoices accordingly.
• Ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory, and organizational policies.

Job Overview:

• Working with the Agro team, plan and direct day-to-day operations, assign duties to maintain adequate staff and plan scheduling with the Store Manager
• Maintaining Four Rivers Co-op’s high standards for customer service and ensuring consistent brand aligned customer experience
• Lead, coach and motivate Agro staff to improve productivity, engagement, and retention
• Promoting the Four Rivers Co-op Health and Safety Program
• Ensuring the procedures for merchandise and feeds are adhered to Co-op standard
• Responsible for accurate weekly stock ordering and inventories, complying with proper classification and authorization of invoices
• Ensuring compliance to all legislative and regulatory requirements as well as organizational and commodity programs and policies

What You Bring:

• Possess a post-secondary education in a related field
• Five years of progressively responsible experience in Agriculture retail preferably at a leadership level
• Proven ability to control operational costs, maximize operation efficiencies and improve growth margins
• Proven ability to effectively lead and motivate a team of 6-10 employees
• You hold a valid class 5 or better driver’s license with a clean abstract
• You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do
