Job summary

South Country Co-op is seeking a Grow Team Advisor at our Agro Centre in Broxburn, AB. You will build strong customer relationships, generate sales across crop inputs, equipment, petroleum, and other Agro lines, and provide agronomic support to growers and contractors.

You will stay current on industry trends, forecast market needs, and contribute to budget planning while maintaining high customer satisfaction and cooperative values.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years’ experience in the agriculture industry.
  • 5+ years progressive agricultural sales experience.
  • Degree or diploma in Agriculture (BSc Ag preferred).
  • CCA or P.Ag designation preferred.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and clean driving record.
  • Strong agronomy knowledge across crops, soils, and horticulture.
  • Experience working directly with farmers, ag retailers, and contractors.
  • Ability to forecast market trends and manage inventory to meet budgets and customer needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Excellent customer service skills and a collaborative team approach.
  • Professional, tactful, and diplomatic in interactions.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

South Country Co-op is hiring a Grow Team Advisor at our Agro Centre located in Broxburn, AB. Reporting to the Agribusiness Manager, the Grow Team Advisor is responsible for building and maintaining strong customer relationships within the trading area, generating sales, and promoting all Agro product lines including crop solutions, bins, machinery, and petroleum products.

This role involves executing a strong customer contact program, providing agronomic advice, and ensuring customer satisfaction through sound technical support and product recommendations. The Advisor will be required to stay current with market trends, products, and farming practices to contribute to the ongoing success of the Agro Division. This role plays a critical part in maintaining our reputation as a trusted agribusiness partner in the region.

Key Responsibilities:
