Job summary

Huron Tractor Ltd in Ontario seeks an experienced service technician to diagnose and repair turf and compact construction equipment, focusing on electrical and hydraulic systems. You will test, maintain, and service equipment while advising customers on needed repairs.

The role requires a small engine license (435A), 2–4 years licensed experience, and a valid driver’s license; willingness to work extended hours is expected.

Qualifications

Inspect and test turf and compact construction equipment to diagnose faults.
Repair and replace mechanical units; test to specifications.
Perform scheduled maintenance service.
Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
Complete reports recording problems and work performed.
Adhere to Health and Safety policies and procedures.
Flexible to work schedule and extended hours.
Valid drivers license, Small engine license 435A.
2-4 years of licensed experience working on equipment.
Strong electrical and hydraulic system knowledge.
Computer literate and able to use diagnostic programs.

Job Responsibilities

This position reports to the Service Manager and is responsible to diagnose and repair all used and new turf and compact construction equipment by completing the following:

Inspect and test equipment, diagnosing faults and malfunctions
Repair and replace mechanical units, test and adjust units to specifications
Perform scheduled maintenance service
Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
Complete reports to record problems and work performed
Deliver excellent customer service and work well in a team environment

Skills And Qualifications

Small engine license (435A)
2-4 years of licensed experience working on equipment
Strong electrical and hydraulic system knowledge required
Ability to utilize and learn new technology
Computer literate – internet, diagnostic programs/computers, etc.
Valid drivers license
Adherence to all Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
Flexible to work schedule and extended hours

Wage Range

$25-$32 per hour
Placement within the wage range is based on skills, experience and qualifications
Applicants with more or less experience and qualifications may be place outside the wage range
